10 months old

Ten months have passed since our sweet Grayson was born and he is becoming more like a toddler and less like a baby by the day. Now Grayson:

  • stands independently for up to 6 seconds at a time

  • crawls over any obstacle

  • cruises holding onto furniture or hands or a wheelie toy- on both level and unlevel surfaces
  • says mamamama, dadadada, bababababa

  • squeals in special voice for his kitties

  • plays peek-a-boo

  • likes to hide himself under a blanket and then reveal himself laughing all the way

  • waves bye bye

  • is beginning to play ball- by rolling it back and forth

  • points or gestures to something that he wants (not that it is at all easy to figure out what it is)

  • likes to give something to the person he is playing with- he likes to peel paper or a tag off something and then hand it to his grown up, then the grown up is supposed to say "thank you", then Grayson reaches his hand out and the grown up gives the item back and Grayson giggles

  • intentionally goes to and touches the things in the room that are off limits- the DVD player, the fan, etc- while watching you for your reaction

  • drinks exclusively from a sippy cup- he will no longer take a bottle unless he is starving

  • can sleep through the night (but he has only done it 3 times)

  • moves in just about any way he wants on the floor- tummy to sit, back to tummy to sit, rolling rolling rolling then boom sitting, sit to stand.....the combinations are endless- he is one mobile little guy

  • will do something intentionally to get a reaction- a smile, a giggle or even just eye contact from mom or dad

  • is getting at least FOUR teeth at once- and is therefore very grumpy- poor thing
