29 weeks

Holy baby belly- I feel huge this week, like all of the sudden the little man has just grown and grown and grown. At least I feel confident that I am clearly pregnant looking and no longer just look like I have a very thick and straight waist with a possible beer belly. Little man is dancing and swimming and kicking more and more each day. I mostly feel him low on my left side or high on my right side. That makes me hopeful that he is head down with his feet up by my ribs on my right side- not sure though so I will be asking my midwife if she has a good guess at next week's appointment.
According to the ticker and babycenter the Schmitzel is well over 2 pounds and his brain is growing rapidly. He is currently developing the gyri and sulci (the hills and valleys) on his brain that are essential for normal intelligence and a normal life. So every day I take my DHA and prenatal and say a little prayer for a good brain- being smart makes life easier and we surely want our kid's life to be easier :)
The ticker also says that we have less than 75 days left until the kiddo is full term... I remember counting down to our wedding and the last 75 days seemed to go really quickly. Part of me hopes for the same time flying sensation- because I cannot wait to meet our kiddo, but the other part of me hopes we can slow time down a bit because once he is here- nothing will ever be the same again. Which means I need all of his shopping done, the rooms organized and whatever else I think I may want to accomplish before Halloween all done within the next 75 days :)
My bones are starting to hurt and move- which is a completely bizarre sensation that cannot be described to anyone who hasn't been in their third trimester. I go for a long walk most mornings and then most of the rest of the day if I sit in one position for 'too' long- my bones feel like they have to move back into place when I stand up and start to move. Some days I have some significant pubis symphasis pain too- nothing terrible, just very noticeable and clearly different than any sensation I have experienced before. And so the journey continues.... my body is just doing what it is supposed to do, hopefully my kid is doing the same and is head down, now my job is just to keep exercising, eating well and sleeping (not too hard at this point :)
