By week 32, the baby weighs nearly 4 pounds! The crown-to-rump length of your baby is approximately 11.7 inches and the total length is about 16 to 18 inches. My uterus is now 5 inches above my bellybutton. He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth.-- or so says babycenter.com
My baby is super active right now, the Schmitzel is rocking and rolling around in there. At our appointment this week he seemed like he was head down- sticking his little booty out just below my ribs on the right side. He is not a very good sleeper from about 9:30 until about midnight- not that it matters because my stupid restless legs keep me up at least that long each night. The epsom salt baths are helping- the legs keep me up only for about and hour or two longer than normal (before the baths I was up about 4 hours after attempting to go to sleep) but sadly they have not cured the ailment. I am trying to keep it in perspective- I have had a very nice pregnancy so far (I am choosing not to remember the great sciatic pain of weeks 9-12) and this is awful torture- but it only lasts for about 3 of every 24 hours which is much better than existing all the time.
All else is well, we are heading to IL for our 2nd baby shower this weekend with my family and Sally (who might as well be family) at a lovely Italian restaurant in Gurnee.
